The last item above is a black tin box with a beautiful embossed lid containing four writers’ journals, one for each of the Twilight Saga books. The journals have the original book artwork and memorable phrases quoted throughout. I love this product—a great gift for a budding writer.

Other Book Formats & Covers

Graphic Novels

    (click on an item)
If you enjoy artwork, these graphic novel versions of Twilight (the first two books) and the first half of New Moon (the third book) are beautiful. Young Kim is a wonderful artist. (The fourth book is a combo. of #1 & #2.) I’m assuming he’ll release New Moon, Vol. 2 later. These take time to create.

Update: The New Moon graphic novel with Bella & Jacob on the cover (hardcover) will FINALLY be released on April 13, 2013. (Still no release date for the combined Parts 1& 2 book.)

Books About the Movies

(click on an item)
I love these books (by Mark Cotto Vaz) about making the movies, mostly because they contain iconic images from the films that you can’t get elsewhere. You also learn some secrets about how things were done and what the director was going for. (Breaking Dawn, Vol 2 hasn’t been released yet.) The last book is by director Catherine Hardwicke, her working notes for filming Twilight. She did that first film by the seat of her pants on a tiny budget. Impressive.

Audio Books

The Twilight books on audio are marvelous! Ilyana Kadushin does a beautiful job of distinguishing the characters from one another and making them come alive. Her interpretation provides a whole new experience of the Twilight Saga that you’ve read many times. Check your library or buy them here:

Twilight Music

I’m very partial to the first Twilight soundtrack with songs by some of Stephenie Meyer’s favorite bands and two songs sung by Rob Pattinson. I love the whole album. The Eclipse soundtrack is only shown with a French cover on Don’t know why.

The Movie Scores (Orchestra)

Of the four Twilight novels that I rewrote from Edward’s point-of-view, New Moon is the only one that mostly comes from my imagination (following hints from Bella’s viewpoint). It was a deeply sad experience and the only book I worked on with a personal soundtrack, which I played over and over as I wrote. “August & Everything After” by Counting Crows defines Edward  for me during this period (though I’d call it “September & Everything After” in this case) and secondarily “Recovering the Satellites,” also by Counting Crows.

I’d like to add a recommendation to your music list: “Endless Day” by The Mitch Hansen Band. This is a Georgia-based rock band and the album is comprised of songs based on Twilight. Some are about characters, others are from characters’ points of view. One of my favorites is the taunting “Jacob Black.” It’s as if Edward vented his feelings about Jacob in song.

I know of other albums, but I haven’t heard them. There’s a group called “The Bella Cullen Project.” They released a CD or two, but I don’t know if those are still available. These are also Twilight related songs.

Billy Burke has also released a CD. I haven’t heard it, but I have a Facebook friend who says it’s quite good.

I can also recommend more Twilight related books and a couple of DVDs that didn’t make your list. While I don’t collect every bit of Twilight merchandise available, I do have a bit of a book collection.

Thank you, I haven’t heard of the Mitch Hansen album. I’ll check it out and add it to the page (which I’ve been neglecting for a while). I also didn’t know that Billy Burke was a musician. Gil Birmingham (“Billy Black”) is an award-winning musician, though, who was asked to play Jacob’s father out of the blue. I thought he did a wonderful job, especially considering he’d never acted before. PAL

      • If you have a Spotify account, you can listen to the whole album for free. If not, I think Amazon or ITunes will let you listen to clips of each song. Enjoy!

Thanks for this pointer. I’ve never used Spotify, but I have started listening to clips from the album in iTunes. (I have to do it when I’m not writing, as I’m not one of those people who can do both.) PAL
