Well, the book is mine! Anyone reading this undecided about buying this book – buy it – you won’t regret it. If you are worried that you love the Missing Pieces books so much, you are just not sure you want to read about other characters – don’t worry – there is room in your life for this book and the wonderful people you will be introduced to.
The author has managed to create characters that are well rounded (very round in one case) and loveable with all their strengths and weaknesses. PAL has a particular skill for establishing a character and then patiently expanding this and altering the reader’s perception – in such a gentle way.
With her usual wit, humour and understanding of the human psyche, the author has written a page-turning story which is intelligent, knowledgeable, easy to read and heart breaking – all at the same time.
Oh yes – the sex scenes – is there anyone writing these any better at the moment? (There are certainly those writing them much, much worse!) WOW!

Actually, fanfiction is much easier to write than original fiction because a lot of the work of creating characters and settings is already done for you. However, it does take time and research and editing, and the trouble is that one cannot be paid for that work. Creating new, original fiction is where I am focused at the moment because eventually I hope to be paid. Unfortunately, the new work is requiring all my time at the moment, but Julie Vans and I hope to produce more pieces for the Twenty Years On diary to answer some of the remaining questions about the Cullens’ future. -PAL

You are not alone in wanting to read Jacob’s POV. Writing it is not as simple as it might appear, though, since this website took approximately two years to create. I love Jacob, but I found Edward to be the most complex of the characters in the saga, and that’s why I chose to write from his POV. In the Private Diary of EAC, you’ll find a series of short vignettes where Edward reads Jacob’s mind and gives us the blow-by-blow of his thoughts pertaining to Bella. They are titled “J.B. Fantasy” and “J.B. Memory.” I’m highly amused every time I read them. I know it’s not enough, but it’s a little bit of Jacob for you. -PAL

Totally love your extensions to Twilight! I read, from what others say, too much and too fast. Understand publishing reasons for not posting online. Yet after all we have read from you not finding pdf downloads for original stories was sad. Please let is know ETA if new stories. Like others i was confused when i was unable to download new pdf files. More then willing to wait on book but want to know when, if ever, it will be availabe. Thank you for extending my favorite story (other than Percy Jackson) for us to enjoy. Us serious readers zz love

You’re a sweetheart! Thank you for asking about Miss Martha Browne, (publication title to be announced). The original version of it, if you read that one, was my first draft–raw and uncut–not publishable by any professional standard, but I enjoyed posting it as I went along. It kept me motivated to know that people were actually reading what I wrote. I was informed by a book agent that publishing houses will not accept stories that have been published prior to submission, including drafts of stories posted on the author’s website. Since I hadn’t decided whether to seek an agent or self-publish, I took the book down to work on subsequent drafts.
The real answer to your question, though, is that it takes a long time to produce a quality book. Once it’s written and polished by the writer to “perfection,” it can still take up to three years from the time an agent accepts it to when it appears in print! I’m in a bigger hurry, so probably will self-publish, which still takes plenty of time if you do it right. I finished the first draft of Miss Martha Browne in November 2012, the second draft in May 2013, then put the book out for critique. While it was being read by my critique partners, I spent the summer drafting the followup book (working title, Trouble in Amity). (Doing things this way means that there won’t be such a long gap between publishing the first book and the second one.)
Just this week, I’ve begun working on the third draft of Miss Martha Browne and I plan to submit it to a couple of agents. If it’s not picked up fairly quickly, I’ll proceed with self-publishing it in the spring, after which it will be available for purchase on this website and through the usual routes. It will have a cover and all the usual EPUB trimmings, like chapter links, etc. I’ve been working hard and still have plenty of work to do, so that’s why I’ve been quiet here for a while. One’s first novel is the toughest, as the learning curve is very steep (and I’m very particular about quality). I’ll keep you posted on the timeline as I know more. Last year, I spent some months writing a novel and posting chapters of the first draft online as I went. Then I took it down to edit it for publication. The second draft is now finished, but one more is required before it’s ready. When it is close to publication, I’ll post some teaser chapters here, but in general, if you want to sell a book, publishers do not appreciate it when you put it out for free on the internet first. 🙂 PAL

In answer to your question, I write continually with no end in sight. 🙂 Currently, I am allowing Miss Martha Brown to sit for a few weeks before I take down the rough draft and begin rewriting the novel for publication. I’ll remain active on Twitter (with a focus on the career side of things) and I’ll remain in touch with readers on Facebook. I’ve started another blog called PA Lassiter’s Survey of Erotic Romance which is slowly becoming a source of recommendations of the very best I find in erotic romance fiction. The SHOP pages on this website currently contain much of that information, but it gradually will be moved over there.
As far as Twilight goes, I will be posting entries in Edward’s new diary (Twenty Years On), which begins in the year 2032. Life has changed for Edward and his family.
My next novel will be based on other characters from Amity, Kentucky. The first story is likely to be Rhett & Riley’s, the next phase in their lives as they leave home for college. I also plan to look further into Arthur and Walker’s relationship, as well as follow Frank Crawford after he leaves Amity.
