    Thank you PA Lassiter,
you are so gifted, such a wonderful talent! I actually heard Edward’s voice in my head through your imagination, almost better than Stephenie’s chapters, no – not almost. I really enjoyed it and so I continued to read your other stories as well. Your talent didn’t fade there either. I am from Germany so: Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland und mach genauso weiter!

Tag, Maren! I love hearing from Germany. If you haven’t noticed, we have a couple of the books available auf Deutsch on the Translations page. Leave a comment there for me and Annkatrin, our wonderful German translator, if you like. Vielen Dank! xo, -PAL

        You’re very welcome.
I did notice the German translations but my German is already as perfect as it gets (haha) so I prefer to read in other languages to widen my horizon but I will gladly leave a comment there, too.

Thanks for your note, Brittany. I keep thinking I’ll get back to it, but there is such a large database of information about the Twilight world that it is impossible to keep it all in my head as I have moved on to writing my own novels. However, the website will not go away and I may still write on it again some day. πŸ™‚ -PAL

Wow! You took the time to respond to my quick comment. Thank you!

It’s quite difficult for me to get expressive using my cellphone with its pesky auto-correcting keyboard. I’m a mother of 2 and I usually only get to relax after they’ve fallen asleep and I can catch up on some reading online. Right now, I can’t seem to get enough of your stories! I’ve just finished New Moon and am now starting Eclipse. I have actually downloaded them all on my iBooks and will be reading them while on vacation in the Caribbean for a week this Saturday! I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to finish them all by then! They are so good! The fact that Edward’s “voice” sounds a lot more mature, intelligent and well-versed makes for an even greater reading experience for me (yup definitely won’t be considered a young adult here, lol). I believe you’ve captured his voice, dare I say it, even better than Ms. Meyer herself! Let’s just say that I’m glad you’re not limited to Meyer’s targeted audience. I’m really enjoying your intelligent writing.

Also, having finished Midnight Sun and New Moon now, I actually thought your writing got so much better. Towards the beginning of MS I somehow thought you were writing it just for fun having inserted some jokes/punchlines I thought Edward would be incapable of thinking on his own (not that I didn’t welcome those comic relief from his constant wallowing in self-pity). Now, I feel like you’ve really immersed yourself in Edward’s character. I can feel his voice in his narration. I’m just really in awe of you! Really great job! You’ve got yourself a fan for life! I am now much more curious to check out your other works once I’ve finished the twi-series. It was my daughter who kick started this addiction again for me having re-watched the movies on Netflix recently. I always get nostalgic when I see them onscreen. Just can’t help myself….and they always leave me wanting more. So here I am at almost 1am quenching that thirst! Ha! Ha!

Wishing you continued success in life and good karma, for sharing your talents with us so freely. πŸ˜„

        P.S.
Stole that name from an old schoolmate back in my elementary years…(wonder whatever happened to her)…but Rose is my real middle name.

No doubt you are correct that I got better at capturing Edward as time went on. I did start the project purely for my own amusement, but grew to know Edward better with each book. At the beginning, I also tried to mimic Stephenie Meyer’s style, but gradually let my own writing style emerge as I gained more experience. Most writers would prefer to redo their earliest efforts, but it is usually better just to move forward. My original novel, The Snake Handler’s Daughter, represents my best work to date. I thank you for your thoughtful comments and am glad you are enjoying the Twilight Saga from Edward’s point-of-view. All the best, -PAL

Hi PA Lassiter, you are an amazing writer. I give kudos to SM for creating the characters, but I must give you a lot more kudos for fleshing out the stories and characters they way you did. Your use of language and imagery is amazing, especially in scenes that were not in the SM versions (like the camp scene). I was just about to go searching for fanfiction of new moon, eclipse and breaking dawn when I saw you had already written it!! You are an amazing writer and I can’t wait to read your own stories.

Never actually, read the Twilight books but was flipping through channels yesterday and re-watched the first movie. And as an avid fanfiction reader I thought that it would be nice to maybe read the books from his perspective, since I had seen the movies so many times. Little did I know that Stephine Myer had begun to write that already; I almost did not even read it since I knew that it was not finished. Nevertheless, I did and then immediately searched for a fan-written continuation of the book and stumbled across this little gem. I have just finished the first book and plan to continue with the rest soon, but just wanted to thank you for really immersing me into a fandom that I will probably enjoy for much time to come.

      Hi Grace,
I was so disappointed after reading the first part of Midnight Sun, only then to discover it was unfinished. That’s why I started this website and the project took on a life of its own. I hope you enjoy reading Edward’s view of the story. I’ve never met anyone who was reading his version without first having read Bella’s version. I hope that it all holds together, as I wrote it originally with all the details of Bella’s point of view in my head. There may be some things that I didn’t say specifically, but rather assumed a reader would know based on Meyer’s original work. It’ll be interesting to see what you think. Thanks for commenting! -PAL

hey there! I love that you’ve taken the time to write all the books in edwards POV. My sister is obsessed with twilight, unfortunately she doesn’t speak english. would you mind if I translated your work for her?

    • PA Lassiter says:

      Hi Jenna,
I’m assuming you mean to translate into German? It just so happens that someone has already started on those translations. Check my blog entry from earlier this week here. Your sister can begin by reading Mitternachtsonne (Midnight Sun, Parts I & II), which can be found on the new “Translations” page of this website. You’ll find them here. I think Annkatrin has done an outstanding job. -PAL

Hi love twilight its the only books i can read over and over again would you consider writing Edwards version for all the books? Your a very talented writer. And its clear Stephanie Myers isn’t going to write Edwards version to all the book and its such a shame because so much is missing i love reading Edwards view. Thank u for writing second half to midnight sun.

    • PA Lassiter says:

Hi there, Laura. Yes, I would definitely consider that. Wait! Come to think of it, I did consider it back in 2011 and subsequently finished all the books a year or two later. πŸ˜‰ Look for the menu at the top of any page of the website and you will find that all the books are listed there. I hope you enjoy them! -PAL
